Actors/Actresses: Leonardo DiCaprio (Django Unchained), Samuel L. Jackson (Django Unchained), Marion Cotillard (Rust and Bone), Helen Mirren (Hitchcock), John Hawkes (The Sessions), Meryl Streep (Hope Springs)

Films: Cloud Atlas (snubbed completely), The Intouchables (Foreign Language), The Dark Knight Rises (snubbed completely), Rise of the Guardians (snubbed for Best Animated Film)

SHOCKERS: 

Best Actress in a Leading Role nomination for the 9 year-old Quvenzhané Wallis for Beasts of the Southern Wild. Wallis is the youngest actress to have ever been nominated in this category.

Best Actress in a Leading Role nomination for the 85 year-old Emmanuelle Riva for Amour, a French film. Riva is the oldest actress to have ever been nominated in this category.

Costume Design nominations for Mirror Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman
