Oscars 2014: Who’s in the Running?

January 16, 2014
Oscar Nominees

The Oscar nominations were announced January 16. Here’s what went down.

American Hustle and Gravity lead the pack with 10 nominations each, while 12 Years A Slave is close behind with 9 nods. The Wolf of Wall Street fared a lot better than the recent press about the film would have you believe. And Tom Hanks, Robert Redford, Emma Thompson, and the Coen Brothers were all snubbed. All in all, however, there weren’t many surprises with this year’s lineup; except maybe that Blackfish and Monster’s University were nowhere to be seen!
